Material & Sizing

Handcrafted by skilled artisans in West Africa using traditional techniques, these organic coconut shell beads capture the raw, grounded essence of the earth. Cut and shaped from natural coconut husk, each bead possesses subtle variations in texture and tone, making every strand unique. As a true piece of living jewellery, these natural beads react dynamically to their environment: exposure to water can cause the organic fibers to temporarily swell and distort, but simply laying them flat to dry naturally allows them to return to their original shape.

Care Instructions

To keep your piece looking its best, avoid wearing it in water. Natural coconut beads are porous and will swell, distort, or crack if submerged; if they do get wet, lay the piece flat to dry naturally. To restore shine, gently rub the coconut beads with a drop of natural oil (such as coconut or jojoba) on a soft cloth. Ghanaian metal and brass beads naturally warm and darken over time; simply buff them with a dry polishing cloth to brighten their finish. Keep your jewellery stored in a dry space away from perfumes, lotions, and direct moisture to preserve both the raw wood and metal.
