Description

A celebration of natural materials and bold geometry. Three layered strands of hand-shaped white coconut beads build a rich, tactile base for a statement semi-circular brass pendant.

Crafted with hand-etched details, the heavy brass pendant grounds the lightness of the natural coconut beads. Secured with hand-knotted cordwork for a comfortable, lightweight fit despite its bold visual footprint.

Materials: Hand-cut natural coconut beads, brass, cord.

Care Note: Coconut is a natural, porous fiber. Keep dry to ensure the beads maintain their shape and original texture over time.

Care Instructions

Brass is a durable, resilient metal that can genuinely last a lifetime. Because it’s a solid alloy—made from copper and zinc—it holds up to decades of wear without peeling, flaking, or wearing down to a base layer. Unlike gold-plated jewellery, which relies on a microscopically thin coating of gold over cheap base metals like nickel or brass that inevitably rubs off to expose the metal underneath, solid brass is consistent all the way through. When it tarnishes over time, it simply develops a rich, vintage patina that can easily be polished back to a brilliant shine, making it a sustainable, forever piece rather than disposable fashion.

Linhasita waxed cord is a 100% waxed polyester thread manufactured in Brazil, widely celebrated by artisans for micro-macramé, jewellery making, and heavy-duty leatherworking. Known for its exceptional strength, tear resistance, and rich color fastness, the cord is coated in a special wax that gives it superior grip for holding complex knots without slipping. Its synthetic composition makes it water-repellent and durable against daily wear, while its heat-meltable ends allow for clean, seamless finishes using a thread burner or flame rather than glue.
Natural Coconut Beads
Hand-carved from natural coconut husks, these lightweight, earthy beads offer a rich, tactile texture that carries the spirit of the tropics. Because they are crafted from organic palm fibers rather than synthetic materials, think of them as “living jewellery”—they breathe and react directly with their environment. Due to their porous nature, coconut beads will naturally absorb moisture and swell if exposed to water. To preserve their original shape, smooth texture, and fit, always keep your piece dry and remove it before swimming or showering.
